The Recruitment Agreement between Austria and Turkey was signed on 15 May 1964. It regulates the recruitment of Turkish workers and their employment in Austria. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the exhibition "Generational Paths - Nereden Nereye" by Hans Hochstöger and Fatih Özçelik shows photographic portraits of families of Turkish descent and their migration paths between Austria and Turkey. Based on personal life stories, the migration of the past 50 years is illustrated and the personal connections are thematised as a current and ongoing exchange between the two countries.

Hans Hochstöger is a portrait and reportage photographer. He works as a regular photographer for renowned media such as Falter and Die Presse in Austria and for international magazines and companies. Since 2012, he has also been working increasingly from Istanbul.

Fatih Özcelik is a cultural mediator and founding member of BAF - Bodensee Amateur Fotografen and Vielfaltenarchiv - Dokumentationsstelle zur Migrationsgeschichte Vorarlberg.
