Attached the to the front wall of an exhibition space this error warning triggers various associations. Is the exhibition restricted in some way or simply closed? Or is it simply a faulty sign on a facade? The literally shifted baseline in the context of the perception of transformation is the main focus of Ulrich Nausner’s work for the Memphis Light Box.
Ulrich Nausner lives and works in Vienna. In his conceptual works and installations he deals with patterns of perception and contexts of meaning of information and language in various media. From 2001-2006 he studied experimental design at the Art University Linz. His last solo exhibitions were “Null zu Eins”, Material, Zurich, “blank”, Salzburger Kunstverein, Salzburg and “Text”, Österreichisches Kulturforum, Warsaw. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions such as “A ditto, ditto device”, AIL – Franz Josefs Kai 3, Vi- enna, “Accentisms”, Taxispalais Kunsthalle Tirol, Innsbruck, “Technical Support”, Zeller Van Almsick, Vienna and “5×3”, Kunstraum Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf.
